Social Media is becoming increasingly important as a means of asset managers communicating with investors. Having a social media strategy is now a big part of the major funds marketing strategies with James Cardew, global head of marketing at Schroders, saying that in the next two or three years social media may become the dominant marketing channel for asset managers. He says that it is important to engage with clients and consumers where they already are rather than trying to take them to other areas.
